During the 2014 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, the ace photographer at the MPOD will be visiting meteorite dealers and bringing you highlights from their rooms.
MPOD writes:
This is Adam Bates (IMCA 3213) of BC Meteorites. He is from Phoenix, Arizona, and is hosting room 250 at the Hotel Tucson City Center (formerly the Inn Suites).
Photo 2 is a 17.64 gram slice of NWA 7731, the only approved L3.00. TKW is 81 grams.
Photo 3 is a 44.55 gram slice of NWA 7651, classified Eucrite-CM. TKW is 2.48 kg.
Photo 4 is a 27.83 gram stone that has been certified by Tony Irving to be paired with NWA 7325, achondrite-ung. The green "alligator skin" fusion crust is amazing!
Photo 5 is a 60.1 gram slice of NWA 7615 (CK6, TKW 1100 grams). There are only 29 stones with this classification and they have a total mass of under 2 kg.
