During the 2014 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, the ace photographer at the MPOD will be visiting meteorite dealers and bringing you highlights from their rooms.
MPOD writes:
Anne Black is Impactika Meteorites. She calls Denver, Colorado, home and is hosting room 322 at the Hotel Tucson City Center (formerly the Inn Suites).
Photo 2 is a 20+ gram slice of Murchison (CM2, TKW 100 kg), prepared by Bob Falls of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Photo 3 is a 156 gram end cut of Imilac (Pallasite, PMG. TKW 920 kg.), polished and etched, with a gemmy exterior.
Photo 4 is a 403 gram slice of Squaw Creek (Iron, IIAB. TKW 14.5 kg).
Photo 5 is a 392.25 gram Sikhote Alin (Iron, IIAB. TKW 23 tons) that is in as-found condition. It was acquired in a trade with the Vernadsky State Geological Museum, the oldest museum in Moscow. According to Anne, trades with this museum are quite rare. To top it off, she acquired a PhD as part of the deal! Check the document at the red arrow.
