16.5 grams. 23 x 41 x 13 mm.   Iron, ungrouped

TKW 75.3 kg. Fall not observed. Found 2001 in Northwest Africa.

Also known as Taza.

Matthias writes:
Nicely sculpted small individual with regmaglypts and patina. Early find with excellent preservation of surface.

Shape of a bear's head. Distinct indication of orientation: two little fins, fine melting lip and partially bundles of ultra-fine flow lines.

One elongate spot exposing an inclusion protruding the surface.

Thank you for the comments, Ladies and Gentlemen. John & Rob: not at least my family name makes me insist on bear's head : - ) Anne, yes, the snow-ice-crystall etching pattern of Taza is wonderful. John, Aesop uses to be always perfectly right, especially regarding Tazas, storks and chosing the right Mozzarella di Bufala ; - )

@ John D.: first thing I thought of: nice bottle opener! (Reminds me of a smaller cousin of Blaine Reed's iron meteorite bottle opener)

Yes, John and John, quite true. But the inside is not bad either.

Nice possible bottle opener? And John, agreed on Taza small specimens. Some of the best Taza individuals are less than two grams. See one of mine shown with the MPOD on 9/24/19.

This proves Aesop's quote: "Nice Taza meteorites come in small packages". Well, something like that. Thank You
