The thing that fooled me re: pallasite was that several of the clasts appear translucent. I could easily mistake it for olivine; the specimen resembles Jepara by casual inspection. |

Its definitely an impact melt not a pallasite. Been collecting for almost 10 years. I guess the high polish makes it look like it may be a pallasite. I have 7 slices and a 170 gram and 40 encut available. bobe5531@comcast.net |

I do not disagree w/ impact melt, however it is not a pallasite as the clasts are granular and some contain metal. Its very interesting and if you know where to get more I would be interested. |

Two things come to mind - an IMB as the poster says, or maybe a weathered pallasite.
