TKW 16.55 kg. Fall not observed. Found July 1979, Buenos Aires Provence, Argentina.

John writes:
I was fortunate to acquire from John Sinclair, a friend to many.

Features include a crystal coated vug, and a big piece of edge "vug air", and very nice open druse area that allowed for the longer clinopyroxene crystal growth. Not sure what the lighter coating is on the crystals in that area. Seems like some additional coating of something adhering to the longer crystals. More outgassing at the end of the process out in space to coat them? Or more likely...Is this a weathering coating like caliche?

Feedback is appreciated for my/our learning.

thanks Anne... a friend let me know the MetBull answers my question about the weathering with: "...druses containing augite and rare centimeter-sized green olivine crystals, but pores contain variable amounts of caliche"

Such an odd rock, thanks John. And so pretty in a thin-section.
