Description: After the appearance of a fireball, that was seen as from a distance of 80 km, a shower of carbonaceous chondrites fell near Kainsaz, Muslyumovo district, Tatarstan, on September 13, 1937. Initially, 15 stones with a total weight of over 200 kg were recovered from a strewnfiled 40 km in length. The largest stone had a mass of 102.5 kg.
In the year 2000, the strewn field was rediscovered by Russian meteorite hunters. Since then, more than 30 additional stones have been recovered, some just sitting under the foliage, waiting for more than 60 years for someone to pick it up.
