Special features of Mount Tazerzait:
1. unshocked (S1)
2. high porosity
3. similar to Baszkowka (L5): textures of both meteorites are very similar
4. both chondrites have identical Fa/Fs contents
5. pores contain stubby crystals of olivine, pyroxene, troilite, and FeNi
6. Mt. Tazerzait is more dense than Baszkowka
7. Baszkowka and Mt. Tazerzait were likely ejected from the same source region of their parent body. |
