the dusty brown or light chocolate look to the crust of some of these Chelys is a curiosity to me. It is not the colors caused by rusting or corrosion of the crust I am mentioning. Obviously the varying conditions that had to occur within the affected zones of this incident led to conditions that changed the makeup and color of the crust as the material fell. Worthy of a paper IMHO, if not already done. The surface colors of the black to gray-brown crusts,rusty red low pressure crusts, and these brown crusts make this Fall that much more interesting. Any known papers or explanations out there out the varying colors to the Chely crusts?? |
