0.83 gram part slice.   CL3.9

TKW 605 grams. Fall not observed. Purchased December 2016.

John writes:
A thin 0.83 gram part slice of Mirko's unusual NWA 13400. This meteorite is a carbonaceous CL3.9, and is very dark with a fair amount of metal (some oxidized), large chondrules, chondrule fragments and other interesting features.

Specimen is 20x10x1.7 mm - The "whitish" look in areas are lighting reflections from metal. The shock looking lines are a combination of reflected (oxidized) metal, sulfides, etc. It is S2 shocked and has a lot of metal in some of the chondrules. This material is also a bit weathered at W2/W3.

Quite unusual indeed, very interesting. The white (f.i. pic 10) and black veins (f.i. pic 12) - what might it be? Thanks for sharing, John
