BISCHOFF A. et al. (1996) Meteorites from Mongolia (Meteoritics 31-1, 1996, 152-157):
The Tugalin-Bulen meteorite fell close to the small town of Tugalin-Bulen in *v*rhangai aimag. The coordinates were determined during an expedition to the Gobi Desert in 1993. Three pieces totalling about 10 kg were found by farmers. The main mass of the meteorite is located in the State Museum, Ulaanbaatar.
Tugalin-Bulen is a highly metamorphosed H-group ordinary chondrite. Only a very few relict chondrules were found. Most of these are radial pyroxene and barred olivine chondrules. |
