122.32 gram end-cut. L/LL3-6 Chondrite.
André writes:
I bought the meteorite, a single stone of 322.3g, in Ensisheim (France) in 2010. Based on the classification of Dr. Ansgar Greshake of the Museum of Natural History in Berlin, this meteorite is an ordinary
chondrite of type L/LL3-6, S1, W2, Fa mol% 0.2-40.5, Fs mol% 1.1-22.4.
I called this meteorite the "bloody stone" because of the intense red color of the water, like blood, during the cutting process.

very nice stone...as for the provisional status, there seems to be too many special NWA chondrites that have not been officially classified. it would be nice if many of these could be completed after years as being provisional. |

Interesting "all but the kitchen sink" meteorite and clasts. Hopefully this provisionally (still as of Jan 2017) classified colorful stone can be confirmed and duly approved! Thanks Andre' ! |
