Great pics, Scott! I had already mostly completed a post for this meteorite too, but you beat me to it!! Of interest to me is that I have several pieces with metal, and they are all different. One has granular metal like yours, others have an almost 50% mix of troilite within the nickel-iron, and others have yet different metal features. One fun meteorite!! |

John, hibonite would be so cool, but if you're referring to pic 2, it might just be reflected blue sky. I thought hibonite was something you'd more likely see in a primitive chondrite (e.g. Isheyevo), but curious to learn more about other meteorites that have it |
