thanks guys...seeing this specimen was probably the first time I ever understood what Bencubbin looked like on a "normal" scale. The smaller slices we typically collect just gives us a sample, which is hard to relate to. Seeing this one at the USNM clears that up for me. This slice was over an 1" thick and likely weighed 10 to 15 kilos or more.
