3.73 gram part slice. 25 x 20 mm.   Iron, IAB-ung

TKW 103 kg. Observed fall 1927, Benue, Nigeria.

 


Craig writes:
Purchased as a "polished one side" part slice from our friend Sergey Vasiliev.

Re-polished both sides, and etched by me using NITOL. I was not expecting these results! My best etching job to date!

Thank you all! Slices were polished by hand with 140-2400 grit w/d paper, then etched with Nitric acid diluted with 99% Isopropyl. Washed in distilled water,rinsed with clean isopropyl, dried in oven then lightly coated with ATF.
