Photos by Ian & Graham Macleod.
432.42 grams.   H5-6

TKW 85 kg. Fall not observed. Found 2013 in Mali.

Graham writes:
This is a nice whole stone of 432.42 grams. It is covered in a beautiful dark fusion crust. Possible shattercone tendencies on photo 3?

The first individual was found in Gao, Mali, 2013, by a nomad while he was searching for historical artifacts near the former salt mines of Taoudenni, northern Mali.

A total of 85 kg has been recovered so far from a strewn field about 10 km in diameter.

Petrography: The meteorite is an H type breccia consisting of completely recrystallized type 6 and less intensely recrystallized type 5 fragments. The latter contain delineated chondrules. The meteorite is strongly shocked (S4).
