Jim Kriegh, discoverer of the Gold Basin Meteorite strewn field, passed away in Tucson, AZ, on October 10, 2007.

In Memoriam Jim Kriegh - On Sat, 30 Dec 2000, Jim sent me this email (excerpts): Twink and I are headed back to Gold Basin on the 3rd for a week. You might be interested to know that David Kring has told me that the Gold Basin meteorite was from 6 to 8 meters in diameter. If that is true, it means that not even 1% of the toal weight has been found. |
