What is a thin section?       What do all the colors mean?
Thin section between crossed polarizers.   Achondrite-ung

TKW 8.39 kg. Fall not observed.

Solar writes:
This thin section of NWA 6704 is composed of large orthopyroxene oikocrysts which, due to their intricate polarized color gradients, were difficult to seamlessly stitch together. The final result is a rainbow of vivid colors, patterns etched 4.543 billion years ago. Be sure to view the post for additional information and images.

@John Lutzon interesting, perhaps my TS comes from the same fragment. The one pictured here was purchased from impactika

After thinking that your TS looks familiar--I would venture to say that your TS is a "sister" slice of my 2.89gm slice of 6704 on the EoM.

As a TS collector and microscope photographer--your pics are absolutely stunning. I see the U.S.- but where is Texas and Florida. Again Solar, Stunning...Thanks. I do have a 6704 TS.

A colorful kaleidoscope! By the way, NWA 6704 is paired with NWA 6693 and NWA 6926.
