I love studying oriented/flight marked specimens. The basic theory of flight for me is that the piece's leading face and nose cone point towards the ground. The flow is upward to form the tail shape, again with the piece upside down or facing the ground on the angle of flight. The specimen's approach angle plays into the end result of shape and pattern...like this beautiful example of a SA. |
