A very rare fresh brecciated Rumuruti chondrite.

Based upon its brecciated texture, NWA 7303 might very well be a regolith breccia. It has not been tested for noble gasses to prove this hypothesis though.

Although nice fresh R-chondrites like NWA 5469 and it’s probable pairings NWA 6145/6220/6280/6848/etc. were found in recent years, next to Rumuruti (67g) itself not many fresh regolith breccia’s are known. Most known R-chondrite regolith breccia’s are weathered, and show brownish staining in cut sections. This meteorite nicely shows us what the material looks like, at the moment it arrives at planet earth.
