Twink writes:
I was hunting for more Cat Mountain with two friends. I put my golf club with magnet attached on a likely looking stone in soft sand in a very narrow stream bed. When it was attracted to the magnet I set it back down and a photo was taken immediately.

I took it to a local meteorite dealer friend and had it cut that same day and I was sure it was a meteorite.

 7/23/2020 12:09:39 PM		 Congratulations, Twink! Wow -- already 9 years ago! Which fire is that burning in the distance? At first I thought it might be the recent fire that for awhile was threatening the observatories in the mountains near Tucson, but then I saw your find date.
