Thick-section (~0.4mm)

olaf writes:
Harald Stehlik from Wien, Austria, made this thick-section. The color is typical for all Indochinites/Australites. The polished Australite is glued (epoxy) like a thin section onto a glass (48x28mm) slide and is not covered.

I am very fond of tektites. Thank you Olaf and Harald for the pleasure of viewing this thick section!

Here on the German Forum, we already had the pleasure to marvel at this beautiful, breathtaking thick section of Olaf's Australite button. Beautiful flow pattern!!!

Interesting. This looks very similar to a thin-sliced indochinite I once had. Apparently the formation process and composition is similar. Thanks for sharing. :)
