Take a look M8's. This big Mount Padbury slice looked very fresh, and it was the biggest Mesosiderite meteorite slice I'd ever seen in person. Well it was the Smithsonian I suppose. :/ |

This photo is pretty rough, but it does show the variety of basaltic clasts and metal chunks that can be seen in a larger chunk of Mesosiderite. The size of the slice is at least 12" x 12". The viewing area this slice was located in had many pallasites and other metal rich beauties. The lighting helped to "show" the metal nicely, but in turn the specimens were tough to photograph for me. |

Nice sized Meso!!!!! Such a beautiful structure and mix, mesos are certainly one of the weirdest meteorites I've seen. |
