This is a wafer thin slice (of NWA 1839 that I purchased from Nelson Oakes, also of Pennsylvania. This super nice NWA 1839 meteorite was called an ungrouped achondrite, then it was called a Metachondrite CO-related.

Recently a similar meteorite, NWA 3133 and pairings, went from Metachondrite CR-related to a CR7, and now maybe even CR8!

Curious if NWA 1839 will finally settle in as a pairing once and for all to the others as a CR7/8. Or maybe it is a C07 or 8, which would be OK too. :/

The last photo is a comparative photo with an end cut of NWA 3133...maybe it is obvious??
