What is a thin section?       What do all the colors mean?    
Thin section between crossed polarizers.   H/L4

TKW 15.5 kg. Fall not observed. Found August 1975 in a wheat field in Phillips County, Colorado, US.

Superb, large oval pyroxene crystal. Love what looks like twinning in a pentagonal crystal in the two o'clock position!
