Thin Sections
Roll Overs: #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6
Thin section between crossed polarizers. Currently the only meteorite with a classification of H3.6-4 TKW 90.5 grams. Fall not observed. Found 27 November 2013, Al Bahr al Ahmar, Egypt. "Supra-TFL" definition from Lunar and Planetary Science XXXVIII (2007) ... oxygen isotopic compositions that plot above the Terrestrial Fractionation Line in fairly well defined subparallel arrays at mean Δ17O values of (nominally) +0.686, +1.008 and +1.156, respectively ... and as depicted in photo 6. Timur writes:Unusual in its characteristics and oxygen isotopy. Perhaps is an extreme member of the "Supra-TFL" chondrites grouplet. Marsa Alam 007 and Marsa Alam 006, apparently, are fragments of one meteorite. Marsa Alam 006 was found 2 meters from Mars Alam 002. Apparently, all three of these meteorites reached the Earth in one brecciated body. No large fragments of the usual chondritic substance of Mars Alam 002 are found in Mars Alam 006 and Marsa Alam 007. Further studies of this interesting meteorite are required. At the time Mars Alam 006 and Marsa Alam 002 were found a professional video was made.Check out my listings on Ebay.
