Twink, Love the match set of NWA 788 halves. I have a nice big part slice of this meteorite also. An early 2000 example of nicely shocked chondrite. It's neighbor NWA 787 is a likely pairing to NWA 869.

Yep, Pete. It does look a bit like NGC 6960, the Veil Nebula in Cygnus!

Beautiful veining! NWA 788 is one of those meteorites often considered an "ugly duckling" but one look inside proves the opposite: it's a beauty!
