TKW 22.7 kg. Observed fall 4 September 1852, 16:30 LT, Harghita, Romania (then was old Hungarian Kingdom, Transylvania).

Its dense chondritic and xenolitic structure can be clearly seen in the bright sunshine garden picture (photo 1).

Both close-up pictures (3, 4) show about 8x6 mm.

Thin section pictures (5, 6) were taken with cross-polarized filters.

This slice doesn't show xenoliths or any brecciation. Staining intensifies as it gets closer to the weathering front, typical of normal chemical weathering. See blogs.agu.org/mountainbeltway/files/2017/03/IMG_8773 . jpg marlimillerphoto.com/chemical . html

Gorgeous specimen, wonderful! I saw it several times both at Juergen*s home and at an exhibition in Freiburg/Germany in the late Ninetees.
