72 gram full slice. 98 x 74 x 3 mm.   Iron, IAB-MG

TKW 12 kg. Fall not observed.

Matthias writes:
Full slice with archipelago appearance: dark siliceous islands of all sizes floating in a sea of shimmering metal.

Silicate inclusions, typical for the IAB group of iron meteorites, seem to have formed in the close-to-surface area of a chondritic asteroid as a result of a massive impact event that caused partial separation of silicate and metal.

You're right, John, now I realize it too. In a certain sense a continuation of MPOD's Ukraine series, so.

Beautiful meteorite...shaped a bit like a map of Ukraine.
