163 gram individual. Unclassified, although Steve says "[a guy told me] it was classified this year as an LL5/LL6 breccia." Unofficially known as Type BL.

Steve writes:
These were sold 10 years ago by Dean Bessey. They were snarfed up by collectors left and right, and none were ever to be found again. It was finally classified after 10 years as an LL5/LL6 breccia. These are known for their black velvety shiny fusion crust.

Thanks for the update, Bernd. Unless I'm misunderstanding the MetBul, it has been in "provisional" status for about nine years! Any idea why is this one taking so long, and which institute is doing the classification?

It is *being classified* right now and my sources say, it will be an LL4 (polymict breccia). Three specimens + four thin sections in my collection.

You snarfed up a beauty there, Steve! How do you find the strength to resist cutting a slice off?
