The Mighei chondrite fell on June 18, 1889 (08:30 hrs) in Nikolaev region, Ukraine.
After the apperance of a bolide and detornations, a stone of over 8 kg, according to the total weight in collections, was seen to fall. Reference: Yu.I.Simashko, Nature, 1890, 41, p.472.
Mighei is the type specimen of all CM chondrites.
