Ah, Jim and you were together, Twink - great. Well, if not a meteorite appears after the beep - why not a little mountain made of gold? : - )

Jim and I were walking about 5 feet from each other up a very narrow sandy wash in Gold Basin and he heard a loud signal on his metal detector. We figured a nice meteorite and he had me listen. We dug it and it was this fabulous gold nugget on quartz. It is about an inch and a half high.

Very nice ensemble indeed. I did know about Jim Kriegh's adventures there, but now I really s e e why it's called Gold Basin. Thank you, Twink.
