What is a thin section?       What do all the colors mean?    
Thin section between crossed polarizers.   Acapulcoite

TKW 2700 grams. Fall not observed. Found 26 January 2000, Zufar, Oman.

Solar writes:
Dhofar 125 has the smallest mineral grains of known acapulcoites. Some acapulcoites contain relic chondrules — in this thin section of Dhofar 125 you can see what I think may be relic chondrules.

Yes, John, this object looks suspiciously like a former porphyritic olivine chondrule!

It is nice to see this meteorite in thin section. As Solar states this particular Acapulcoit is fine grained. I have a nice slice of this one and it is difficult to see anything of size, even with a typical stereoscope 20X/40X or so setup. The relic chondrule in Photo 3 looks evident to me.
