Hi, in 2015 I was in the area taking pics of trees that had been hit by lightning with a gent that has lived in the area all of his life. He said that his father told him that there had been a large bushfire that went through the forest in 1944 so I guess that during the clean up, after the fire that the meteorite must have been found. Yes, info is difficult on this one. Appears it was purchased from the Kurtze museum during WW2. Good luck Graham.
