I was in Italy recently and visited the Galleria dell' Accademia in Firenze, where the statue of David is on display. This work is "La Meteorite" by Bizhan Bassiri, done in 2009, so it's a fairly recent fall ;)

Or maybe it's still falling.

Actually, this is just the tip of the famous Ayers Rock (circumference around 15 miles) that is located near Alice Springs in Central Australia. People always wondered how far it extends into the ground. Now we know. ;) Great photo, Paul.
