906 grams.   Pallasite, PMG

TKW 920 kg. Fall not observed. Found 1822 in the Atacama Desert of Chile.

Svend writes:
This meteorite was recovered in 2019 in the central part of the strewnfield. The find location is in immediate proximity to the impact pit that contained a 19 kg individual and that was found by Garcia and Barrera in 1986 and is believed to be a fragment from that mass, separated late in the flight. The photo showing the author in the Imilac strewnfield gives an impression of the awe-inspiring vista of the majestic Llullailiaco, a dormant stratovolcano at the border of Argentinia and Chile, some 80 km to the east of Imilac Station.

I'm amazed that a mass of this size escaped all those other detectors. Congrats on a fabulous discovery!

(Pic 4): Extending in several directions at the same time. This piece tends to continue growing. In any case: it's right big enough. A real big wonderful shining crazy-diamond-carrier on its mission.
