What is a thin section?       What do all the colors mean?
Thin section, reflected light. The large round chondrule is 1.7 mm.   H3

TKW 6.7 kg. Fall not observed. Found August 1998 in Algeria.

The Colonel writes:
I recently acquired my first thin sections. I don't have the microscope setup to make the polarized light pictures but several of them are quite interesting just as they look.
