Here is my 11 gram unpolished full slice of a Gold Basin meteorite that I got from Jim Kriegh and Twink Monrad. It is FeNi and troilite-rich. It has a light dark mottled appearance and a drillhole because it was meant to be used as a pendant but I preferred to add it to my Gold Basin collection instead of wearing it around my neck.

I have some of our earlier slices that Jim Kriegh made with his rock cutting saw at his house. That was before we knew that a proper nice thin diamond blade would leave no saw marks, I can't believe that we thought they were just fine that way..until we were educated on proper saw blades and the way they should look!

Good decision Bernd. Such pieces, connected with personal memories, are always something special.
