This 10.43g specimen was found in the woods of Hamburg Michigan on 27 January 2018, 11 days after the 16Jan 2018 meteor fall. It is the last known specimen recovered and has been studied by the Planetary Science Institute and is noted in their Meteoritical Society paper *.
Hamburg meteorites are classified as H4 Chontrites. To date only 16 finds have been documented with AMS. However, several more have been noted in media reports and documented with other sources.
This particular specimen was broken at some point during its fall to earth. The other half, and lower portion of what appears to be conical orientation, was never found!
