I agree with John. Quite often sanding just enough to remove the saw marks is enough.

nice chondrite...I'd be curious if the look of a diamond lap surface over sanding it dark would help this slice even more. The beauty of "self" cutting and prepping NWA's is the practice one can gets without ruining anyone else's work, or an expensive meteorite. I find that lapping can help a slice sometimes, and other times it does not provide as nice a look as just sanding the slice would.

Very nice unclassified NWA, as a wise man once said here as a perfect analogy, unclassified but classy!!
