21.72 grams. 88 x 65 x 1.8 mm.   Lunar (anorth)

TKW 1425 grams. Fall not observed. Found 10 March 1998, in Libya.

Dar al Gani 400 is the second lunar meteorite found in the northern hemisphere. Dar al Gani 262 was the first one but both lunar meteorites are not paired according to abundances and composition of noble gasses.

After almost 4 ½ years on-loan to a touring University Exhibition «BodenSchätzeWerte» (Natural Resources Values, ETH Zurich/Switzerland), the shown DaG 400 slice (88 x 65 x 1.8 mm, 21.72g, flat and smooth parallel cut) came back to my collection last week. I am happy about that and therefore it is my pleasure to show the large slice here as an MPOD. The slice is approximately the largest cut diameter of the meteorite.

The two thin sections (14 x 11 mm and 16 x 13.5 mm) were cut from further and different looking smaller sections of the same lunar meteorite.
