Length about 1mm   H5

Dave writes:
Blue halite crystal (NaCl) found inside the Monahan's meteorite. Monahan's (H5), fell in Texas in March 22,1998 and the crystal was given to me by Dr. Michael Zolensky at NASA's Johnson Space Center.

This crystal is blue due to the intense radiation environment of space. Radioisotope analysis shows that it was formed within 2 million years of the formation of the solar system and contains liquid water. Dr. Zolensky said that this is the first evidence of water found in any extraterrestrial object. Crystal is about 1 mm in length.
