Bought last Nov. 12th, at N 26.8581° W 12.6072° from nomad Hassan, while hunting for meteorites.
Early in the morning of Nov. 12th, nomads Hassan and his father showed up at our campsite in two cars, together with some companions. After exchanging courtesies and presents via our interpreter Mohammed, it turned out that they had a few meteorites (and meteowrong) with them, they were willing to sell. We bought two.
Later that day, after sunset, we saw a car criss-crossing the desert plain with a spotlight and the sound of gunshots. This was Hassan and his friend shooting rabbits.
Just before midnight they paid us a visit, and offered us a rabbit they had shot, for our tagine (Berber dish) the next day. We drank some tea together, had a nice chat and were invited to try Hassan’s shotgun on a little plastic bottle. An invitation I happily accepted.
Having fun shooting a shotgun at midnight in a wonderful landscape with some very generous and friendly nomad people. Meteorites brought us together. An experience never to forget!

Yes it was a very interesting trip, full of new experiences and adventure. Hope we can do that again soon. By the way, Rob did very well. He perforated the bottle with the first trying. You can call him "sniper". |
