6.7 grams.   CBa

TKW 156 grams. Fall not observed. Purchased after 1999, Morocco.

Roberto writes:
NWA 1814 is classified as a CBa. Metbul says that a single, moderately oxidized, partially crusted stone, weighing 156 g, was purchased by Bruno Fectay and Carine Bidaut in Morocco. It is said to have been found in April 1999 in the region between Taouz and Ouzina. The meteorite is one of 7 meteorites classified as a CBa.

A very limited number of slices have ever been cut from the main mass, one of which now belongs to me. Another is in the possession of an anonymous collector, and the third slice and main mass are in Mark Lyon’s personal collection. I purchased this 6.7g slice from Mark earlier this year and couldn’t be more pleased.
