Inspired by Luca's contribution back on the 9th, I was reminded of this small piece which retains more metal than the vast majority of this material.

I've heard that too...but after seeing all the different looks, I personally think the blue material (no metal or chondrules usually) might be a fresher version of what is called "highly reduced" areas within this EL melt rock. A separation of metals, etc. from base material to create fine-grained enstatite-rich areas.

Thanks, John. I've heard that the blue material is considered the least weathered but have never seen metal in any specimens. Anyone have any examples?

Nice Phil. This material has a range of looks...this one is closer to the less weathered (surface) pieces I've seen and worked with.
