Stephen...the differences in the appearance of cut meteorite samples of CV's to CK's is quite varied. I have a couple CK-looking classified CVs that makes it even more confusing. This particular one presented is moderately weathered, giving it that reddish tint.

Wow what a beautiful CV , is it just me or are the chondrules relatively spares in this CV matrix?
