Bernd writes:
Reworked moldavite embedded in a coarse-grained fluvial conglomerate from the Chlum area (Southern Bohemia). Weight probably 5-10 grams, or even more. Purchased at the 2013 Woerth Gem & Mineral Show. Woerth is a German town near the city of Karlsruhe, Southern Germany.

I was told by a reliable source that he understood the processing/separating of the Moldavites has slowed these days at the quarry works because they are not as prevalent enough in the material they are working these days. Is that true?

Second try, with special characters removed: The map shows the wrong Chlum. The Moldvites are found in Chlum nad Malsi, 48.8 deg N, 14.5 deg E. This is south of Budejovice and East of Krumlov. The arrow on the map, however, points to Chlum u Blatne.

Great in situ example. Similar pieces were sold in Ensisheim two years ago. Could'nt resist also.
