An iron hill. Wonderful form and size. When I read Niger my first association were the different iron masses discovered in Agadez District not so long ago. But these show distinct layers of desert varnish on their surfaces. The photo isn't perfect but it seems that this mass' fusion crust is quite fresh indeed, black bluish color, matt, not polished by sand/wind, exposing numerous fine details. Would be great to see a HR pic. So it seems that in Niger we have gold, respectable older iron finds as well as such a fresh one. The desert seems inexhaustible.
