Graham, I agree. And I think that the recrystallized nature of this piece gives it a sort of rugged and antiqued look. Thanks for posting, Anne

Yes, D I-A is great stuff. Some of the material shows deformed Widmanst*tten pattern, very attractive looking. The iron is rich in Schreibersite inclusions, which are typical for IIIB irons. One of my favorite irons in my own display at home.

Wow Anne, Great etched slice! You can see the recrystallization but it adds to the overall look. Cheers.
