Graham, I agree. And I think that the recrystallized
nature of this piece gives it a sort of rugged and
antiqued look.

Yes, D I-A is great stuff. Some of the material shows deformed Widmanst*tten pattern, very attractive looking. The iron is rich in Schreibersite inclusions, which are typical for IIIB irons. One of my favorite irons in my own display at home. |

Great etched slice!
You can see the recrystallization but it adds to the overall look.
