11.82 grams.   unclassified

Rob writes:
11.82g Lunar half stone from the NWA 7611 strewnfield. The half stone was cut from the largest of two stones (total mass 37.2g), bought together with Kally Wombacher in Morocco. The stones were found in the same area as NWA 7611 (likely paired with NWA 8277 and others).

Small iron metal inclusions such as the one pictured here are actually very common in lunar breccias, Gourgues. Also, considering that it was found in the NWA 7611 strewn field, I think it's safe to say that this is certainly a lunar meteorite. Very nice specimen, Rob!

Denis, we won't know if it is a lunar until it has been classified. So is it being studied and classified? And who is doing the classification? It should be Randy Korotev, he is the expert.
