28.156 gram full slice.   R5

TKW 958 grams. Fall not observed. Purchased 2008, Erfoud, Morocco.

Bernd writes:
R5; W0; S4

Medium- to dark- gray matrix with several melt veinlets, probably molten crustal material. Very sulfide-rich (pyrrhotite).

Close-up of a BO chondrule: 1.5 mm slightly oval and very prominent BO chondrule with a thick igneous rim and a thin veneer of sparkling sulfide (sulfide-armored BO chondrule). The BO chondrule is so prominent because of the very dark - almost black - glassy mesostasis.

Let me echo MexicoDoug's comments of a very educational stone (well, the others too). What a superb specimen! As an astronomy professor, this one has "show me" written all over it, as the saying goes.

BO here is for barred olivine, beautiful preparation and remarkably fresh -- almost as nice as the day it fell. Very educational stone!
